Burst pipe or flooding
A split supply line, a failed fitting or a frozen pipe that has let go. Water keeps coming until the main is off.
- 01Shut off the main water valve. It is where the line enters the house, usually the front basement wall near the meter.
- 02Kill power to the flooded area at the breaker if water is near outlets or the panel.
- 03Take a photo of the leak and the damage, then call.
